INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

JOB CATEGORY: Engineering

SALARY: $80,226 Annual

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops manufacturing processes for electric buses by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures electric bus product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Covert electric bus design engineers drawings to work instructions and production BOMS.
  • Support new product development for electric buses from trial through to commercialization and improving production lines.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 24 months experience in an engineering position in the electrical bus manufacturing industry.

Project Manager

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering Management or a closely related field required.
  • 24 months experience required.
  • Experience must be in a position that involved managing orders for vehicles by transit authorities.

Job Duties:

  1. Respond to RFPs (Request for Proposals) for the provision of electric vehicles to transit authorities and private customers
  2. Manage processing electric vehicle orders from transit authorities and private customers
  3. Optimize the project management process, create and implement orders for production team to follow in producing bespoke electric vehicles
  4. Serve as liaison between customers, vendors and all company internal departments such as engineering, manufacturing and purchasing
  5. Ensure that electric vehicles are being built per customer specification and delivered on time with good quality
  6. Report to President regarding project status
