The JTA is currently working with local colleges, medical campuses, and other partners to create the nation’s first public transportation network powered by autonomous vehicles. GreenPower’s fully autonomous EV Star, developed in collaboration with Perrone Robotics, is expected to enter service in February 2021 after an initial calibration period.

Los Angeles, California, November 25, 2020 – GreenPower Motor Company Inc. (NASDAQ: GP) (TSXV: GPV) (“GreenPower”), a leading manufacturer and distributor of zero emissions electric powered medium and heavy duty vehicles, announced via Green Commuter, that two EV Stars will be deployed in Los Angeles County in the Basset and Avocado Heights neighborhoods under a California Energy Commission Grant.

The Energy Coalition is California-based, non-profit and the primary grantee on the project which will provide locally produced renewable electricity to 235 households through a community solar tariff structure. The project will also provide 50 homes with no-cost solar and residential battery storage, and develop an electric vehicle (EV) mobility service, EV charging infrastructure, and a community carbon management system.

GreenPower Motor Company Receives Second Order from Top Rated University; Purchase Supported by Funding from VW Mitigation Settlement

Los Angeles, California, November 24, 2020 – GreenPower Motor Company Inc. (NASDAQ: GP) (TSXV: GPV) (“GreenPower”), a leading manufacturer and distributor of zero emissions electric powered medium and heavy duty vehicles, announces that the University of California, Los Angeles (“UCLA”) will add a third EV Star to their fleet.

The first two GreenPower EV Star Min-E shuttles ordered by UCLA Transportation are being used by UCLA Health and are transporting patients and visitors, as well as staff and faculty working at the medical centers. The third unit will be used for Bruinaccess which is a complimentary paratransit service provided by UCLA for qualified individuals curb to curb rides from most points on or near campus. The initial order was delivered in the summer of 2020 and has received incredibly positive feedback from the operators and fleet managers. The third unit was delivered in the early part of November. Part of the EV Star purchase was covered by the California VW Mitigation settlement which covers up to $160,000 of the vehicle cost and requires the scrapping of a model year 2009 with a GVWR of over 14,000 lbs.

Company Comments on Governor Newsom’s Executive Order Signed This Week Increasing Volumes of Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Sold and Operated in California to 100% Zero-Emissions by 2045

Los Angeles, California, September 25, 2020 – GreenPower Motor Company Inc. (NASDAQ: GP) (TSXV: GPV) (“GreenPower”), a leading manufacturer and distributor of zero emissions electric powered medium and heavy duty vehicles, announces that GreenPower’s EV Star has been selected as an eligible vehicle for the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (“MBTA”) and California Association for Coordinated Transportation (“CalACT”) purchasing cooperative RFP for zero emissions shuttles. This two-year contract allows CalACT members, including transit authorities, other public agencies and non-profits assigned by MBTA, to purchase up to 150 zero-emission vehicles per year. GreenPower’s dealer Creative Bus Sales is only one of four dealers, representing select models of electric shuttles, including GreenPower’s EV Star, that are qualified to sell under the contract.

CalACT/MBTA provides a California State compliant purchasing solution that allows transit properties to meet their procurement needs and get the vehicle they want in an expedited purchasing cycle that does not require a lengthy RFP process. GreenPower’s EV Star is the only vehicle out of several all-electric vehicles that are eligible for purchase under the contract that has been Altoona tested and can be built under Buy America Compliance.

On September 23, 2020 Gavin Newsom, the Governor of the State of California, signed executive order number N-79-20 directing the Air Resource Board to develop medium and heavy-duty vehicle regulations requiring increasing volumes of new zero-emission trucks and buses sold and operated in California towards the target of 100% zero-emission vehicles by 2045. The Executive Order also requires a Zero-Emissions Vehicle Market Development Strategy by January 31, 2021.

Los Angeles, CA, September, 8, 2020 – GreenPower Motor Company Inc. (NASDAQ: GP) (TSXV: GPV) (“GreenPower”), a leading manufacturer and distributor of zero emissions electric powered medium and heavy duty vehicles, announced today the delivery of Green Commuter’s next tranche of 20 EV Stars.

Green Commuter is a Los Angeles based shared mobility company that provides zero emissions solutions for vanpools, employee transportation, and delivery vehicles. Green Commuter has placed three separate orders for EV Stars with the first order consisting of three vehicles, followed by two separate orders of 100 vehicles, for a total of 203 EV Stars. After this delivery of 20 units, there will be 28 EV Stars remaining on the initial 100 unit order which are expected to be delivered this calendar year, with the second 100 unit order expected to be delivered in 2021. To date, Green Commuter has taken delivery of 71 EV Stars.

Deliveries against this additional purchase order for 100 units are expected to occur throughout calendar 2021.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is currently developing autonomous vehicle solutions for Jacksonville and has been working with AV technology since 2017. JTA has hired a former Amazon executive to lead their automation team and have created the minimum specifications for autonomous vehicles, the “Golden 20”; GreenPower’s EV Star has met 19 of the 20, the most of any bus reviewed by JTA. In addition to developing a public transportation network in downtown Jacksonville, the JTA is working with local colleges, medical campuses and other partners to further validate and gain acceptance for this technology.
